I have never seen myself as an evangelist. At least not in the traditional sense. Since accepting Christ, I have largely contented myself with growing in my personal understanding of the scriptures, cultivating my relationship with God and growing more consistent in the practices of my daily life.

When Foster and I got married, our focus grew to doing these things as a family and engaging Christ's body through our incredible local church. We also have a sincere heart to love those who do not have the same belief, mainly through intercessional prayer and by demonstrating the authenticity of our faith in our daily life. I will be honest and say that it has sometimes felt intimidating to share more boldly through direct conversation.

Which is why I was recently stunned to hear from Foster and a few others that I actually do have the gift of evangelism. This was hard for me to believe because I have never directly led anyone to Christ... I haven't ever led someone through a prayer for salvation. I really do appreciate others speaking truth over me that I did not have the eyes to see for myself. Things started to make more sense when someone later described my personal evangelism style akin to the sentiment of "I'll have what she's having." That actually made me laugh out loud. But it also got me thinking... I sincerely do want everyone to have "what I have."

Even more so, I want you to have what God has for YOU. A personal relationship with the Creator of the heavens and the earth, access to His supernatural peace that transcends all understanding and true hope beyond anything the world has to offer. I desire for you to experience His great love in the most real ways... today through eternity.

I have recently been witness to God transforming the hearts of those around me - family members, neighbors and even the clerks at the restaurant and shop we frequent for on Sundays after church. It's been an inspiring reminder that He accomplishes the work, but that He wants to do the work through us, His beloved vessels.

And so with that being said, I would like to step out in boldness to share a poem I wrote, a Gospel Invitation written from the perspective of the Holy Trinity. I pray that it serves as encouragement to you - a reminder of His great love - and as real invitation into relationship with Him.

Happy Easter, He is Risen Indeed!

Love, Lauren

P.S. Here is a PDF Version that you can also save, I hope it makes it easy to share with others :)
